Mr. Everdeen was an amazing man, who liked to sing, swim, hunt, and had a very level head. He lived with Mrs. Everdeen. Mrs. Everdeen was a healer from the Merchant area of District 12, while he was from the seam. Their lives were considerably different, and it was a big change for both of them to move on to their new life. Together, the couple had Katniss
and Prim.
He secretly founded the OAC which stands for Opposition Against the Capitol. He opposed to The Hunger Games and wanted to fight for a happy and loving district where human sacrifices no longer would play a role.
He lived and worked inside the gates of District 12. He was a coal miner and a poacher. Coal mining was an extremely dangerous profession as accidents, ranging from explosions in caves, are frequent. Some coal miners caught in these accidents were lucky to escape with lost limbs, while many others died in these mining accidents
On January 24, Mr. Everdeen died during a horrible mine explosion six years before the 74th Hunger Games. The mine blew up him, and killed him as well as other workers.
(Probably this explosion was not an accident, but a scheduled execution of the Capitol, when they knew of the existence of the OAC)
Mr. Everdeen was Katniss' teacher when it came to the woods, singing, hunting, and making good quality bows. A lot of these characteristics are well noticeable at Katniss. She is a powerful, cocky and arrogant woman.
Mr. Everdeen was a well known citizen of District twelve. The people of District twelve knew him as a commited and brave man who lead an energetic life. Mrs. Everdeen lost herself afther the death of her man. Katniss had to increasingly take over duties from her mom an took care of Prim.
